The Travis County District Clerk maintains the official record of proceedings on all court cases heard in the district courts and some cases in county court-at-Law #4. This involves criminal, civil, and family/domestic relations cases. Most of the case records are available for public viewing, but some are confidential, either by law or by court order.

The Criminal Division maintains criminal case records on felonies, which are the most serious crimes, and some misdemeanor cases. Grand Jury proceedings are also coordinated through the District Clerk’s office. …
